Trying to remember an absurdly specific and long word.

There's a specific and very long word in another language, possibly Finnish or Thai. It refers to when two people are in a relationship and both want to go further but neither is willing to take the next step and is instead waiting for the other one to do so. I've tried Google without success. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about.

Mamihlapinatapai? (Knew I'd seen it before, so I googled "words with no english translation", found it listed in the bottom of the wikipedia page that was at the top of the list.)

I remember reading somewhere that it means roughly "looking each other in the eye and hoping that either will suggest that which both desire yet neither are willing to admit". You know, when you really want to kiss someone, but you're not sure if they want you to or not, but you also don't want to make the first move. Something like that.
