How can I reveal that I've never been kissed without bringing things to a screeching halt?

I'm a 20 year old straight guy and I've never been kissed. How do I tell a girl this information? I'm not foolish enough to think that I'd be good at kissing someone, but would it be better to do that badly rather than launching into a 'Would you teach me?' conversation in a bar?

"Would you teach me?" might work with an older woman, but I agree with the other poster; generally, with that sort of thing, you do your best, then sheepishly admit it later if things went reasonably well.

There's no huge secret to kissing; make sure you've brushed your teeth recently and don't slobber all over a woman's face. Other than that, take your cues from her. Don't start out with a huge open mouth and a Mick Jagger tongue - start with little closed-mouth soft kisses and work up to a more tonsil-involving liplock gradually.

And there's no shame in not having kissed before. Everyone is different, and everyone's experiences are different.

Why do you need to tell a girl this information? So maybe the first time you kiss the girl will think you're a bad kisser (or who knows, maybe not). Does it matter? It's not like it's a mechanically hard thing to do.

Here's what I'd recommend: when you reach a point when you're about to make out with a girl, just do it. If, afterwards, the girl comments that something was weird about it, you can sheepishly admit to her that it was your first kiss. If anything, I think that'd just make you more endearing anyway.

    Awww. :)

I don't think you need to announce it. If you're nervous about starting, you could try starting out by kissing her cheek, then working your way toward her mouth. It's surprisingly sensual.

If she asks, you can tell her. At some point in the relationship you should tell her (this will likely come up if you haven't dated before either). But it's not a huge deal.

DO NOT GAG HER WITH YOUR TONGUE.

Take it from someone who was a late first-kisser in life: you can learn it on the job. lol No need to tell anyone unless you really feel compelled. Just try it out and ask the other person if they have any tips for your kissing. Maybe just ask what they would like more or less of in a kiss. And yah, don't wrap your whole mouth around a girl and slobber on her to start out with. Other than that, go for it!

Why do you have to say anything at all? Just do it. You'll do fine.

I was in your boat at one point. Never received any complaints and it never really came up. People have all kinds of different preferences. Unless you start licking her nose or something, she probably won't suspect anything. You'll probably be a natural because it's a pretty natural thing. On the flip side, maybe you can tell a friend and get her to help you out. If you put yourself out there like that, I bet it could work and as a bonus, you might get lucky and feed two birds with one loaf ;-)

Another idea would be to wait until things get moving along and you're about to get more intimate or personal and then just whisper in her ear "Teach me how you like it..." or just "Teach me..."

    Good luck.
