Is it unwise to enter into a relationship with a person who does not have the characteristics you look for in porn or in your fantasies?

I'm a 20 year old straight Indian guy and I like to watch porn featuring somewhat older white women, specifically milf porn. Almost all of my fantasies involve women of this type. Should I only be seeking out women who match this physical description? I find women my own age and women of colour to be attractive, but not to the extent that I find older white women attractive. Also, as I mentioned in another question, I've never been in a relationship and so all of this stuff is hypothetical right now.

    No.

If you limit your field of play to just the exact match to your fantasies, you're going to miss a lot of great people in your life.

You might also find that you fall in love with someone who is NOT your perfect bodytype and your fantasies can remain just that...your private fantasies in your mind.

However, if you are convinced that you will only be happy with one specific type of person, you're going to discover that your ideal mate may not exist in real life. (Remember, they haven't attended all those rehearsals that you've been holding in your head... They don't know the lines you're expecting them to say, or do, or know already....)

Seems you might be setting yourself up for failure or frustration if you do this.

A lot of people fantasize scenarios and partners that would not work at all for them in real life. There's no problem with fantasizing something very different from reality, so long as you're not forever longing for real life to emulate your fantasy.

You also might find that once you are in a relationship, the fantasy stuff you have been interested in up to this point kind of gets blown out of the water. Maybe not, but everything I fantasized about changed pretty radically once I got my hands on the real thing.

l'm pretty much with Geni and Captain on this, but l want to also say that while l don't think it realistic to expect this to be the kind of woman you date and always go for, there is something to be said for pursuing relationships with women who fit these parameters, if only in the sense that sometimes, people just have a type, you know?  l don't think it makes one selfish to have a type they prefer, as long as they keep their eyes open to the other possibilities.  ln the end, who they are is going to matter far more than what they look like.
