  1 0 I agree with e.strange and fnarf, not every style question needs to be about purchasing. I don't have any style guidance to offer anyone, but I'm sure there are plenty of people here who do and it's a fun thing to read about. For example, Jesse Thorn's Put This On gets non purchase related questions all the time: http://putthison.com/tagged/Q_and_Answer .   1 0 meh. aside from trashing dan savage about his dingy tee /wifebeater, how much mileage could 'fashion' get? However, call it "style / design / aesthetics" and I'm in. There's plenty of "design" that doesn't fit under sci/tech or theatre/art. Fashion, architecture, website appeal could all fall under it? Suppose we could also call the category "judgmental Q's" =) In general, for new categories, I would look first to the "whatever" and gauge what most of those are about. Then "city living". Those two end up being the closest thing we have to a "misc". . . and as any good accountant will tell you, "misc" categories do no good. I'd certainly like to see 'travel' opened up a bit to "travel & transit"... 'specially in a city with so much new transit going online recently and/or within 6 years. We want to keep it to one word (or two) that everyone will understand. I guess "style/design" might work. But "grooming" has been suggested as well. Do you think people would know to put grooming questions in there? Would "aesthetics" cover it all? I have a feeling most people would just be confused by that word. Neither. Slick soled. Hope not. That was fun. Even more fun if people attach pictures.Very helpful. The only reason we hesitate to add categories is that it means people have to choose from a bigger list and the bigger the list the more the effort/confusion. So we just try and make sure a category has sufficient merit before adding.
