Could the site management disable voting on one's posts?

I realize the reputation system here has to be taken with a grain of salt (as every online rep system ever used does), but I've always kind of hated being able to up or down vote my own answers and questions. It creates a weird question for the user: should I be a dork and up-vote myself? Or should I not vote and then my answer perhaps winds up with one up vote and people suspect that douchebag Lee is just up-voting himself every time he answers anything.

For those of us who have answered a few questions, whether or not we self-vote will dramatically affect our overall score, and that just seems like a big and rather easily fixable problem with rep system.

    I'll put it in the fix/enhance hopper.

    It's a good point and it' should be fixed. Unless perhaps Questionland is a place where one should be faced with these moral questions.

    I'm sure nobody would suspect you of masturvoting.

    How about a system where every time someone up-votes themselves, it automatically turns into a down vote?

    I sometimes downvote myself. I don't need to explain why, but there's a little OCD part of me that likes to do it sometimes, to 'even things', ok?

    is it possible to :
    leave the self-upvoting / downvoting option (for the schizophrenic among the us's) but disable any score value it might have in affecting our own rep. ?

    I think the moral questions (that charles mentions) are an important FEATURE of Qland.
