I have naturally curly hair, and when I was younger I always wished I had straight hair. You can do so much more with it, style-wise. Now I'm at peace with what I've got, I suppose, but I still envy girls who can wear cute, short styles with bangs. Curly hair just doesn't do that.

I just would like to have either really curly hair or dead straight. My hair has a slight wave which means it is does not do what I want and generally looks messy. Arrgh.

Like many people with naturally curly hair, mine went from straight to intensely curly right around puberty. Along with my body being all gangly and weird, I suddenly had hair I didn't know what to do with. Ugh. I complained incessantly, used every straightening hair product I could find, and finally, for Christmas, my parents gave me a gift certificate to have it chemically straightened. At first I was excited, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I had grown to kind of like my newly curly hair. I decided to trade in the gift certificate for something else. It was a good lesson (although I think unintentional on my parents' part - they just wanted me to stop complaining all the time) to learn to be happy with what you've got.

Straight. You can just brush straight hair and put some shine stuff in it. To look presentable with my curly hair means getting it wet and putting a ton of shit in it, and then it just looks sloppy in a couple of hours anyway. And I have NEVER gotten a cute haircut - it always looks the same, no matter what. Bleh.

I know some women who can really rock curly hair. I wouldn't mind looking like them overall, but, given my appearance, I definitely prefer straight. Curly hair would look pathetic on me, like a fat girl who was tragically talked into getting a perm.

Curly. While straight hair is more versatile, especially for edgier cuts, curly hair is better for those of us who are bone lazy about getting haircuts. It always looks messy, but it is consistent.

It's all I know, though. If I had naturally straight hair I'd probably prefer that.

I rather prefer a straight hair than curly hair. Straight hair fits all style of my dress and shoes.

I am not into saying to much about this topic but...I have naturally spiral type curly hair. It used to be really nice and something I really liked about myself. Now I would like nothing more than to have straight hair. I buy straighting product for my hair and I would like to get it chemically treated straight. As I'v gotten older the texture or something about my curly hair has changed. Now it appears overall frizzy and more wavy where there once was curl. I think I would like straight hair better for many reasons. It looks shinier and falls into place better with any kind of hair style long or short.
