Who serves the best bloody mary at breakfast/brunch?

Because sometimes the best way to start a day following a night of heavy drinking, is to start drinking again. So who's got the best bloody mary? And what makes it so great?

I am partial to the Bloody Mary at Buckley's. It comes with a pickle, a pickled pepper, a shrimp and a PBR beer back.

Buckley's on Queen Anne. Shrimp and jalapeno skewer. Beer backer. Nuff said.

Shorty's on 2nd Ave has a great "Hangover Special" which includes a hot dog, veggie dog or German sausage; Bloody Mary; Alka Seltzer; and a single cigarette.

Their Bloody Mary is my personal favorite.

Tiger Tail in Ballard for sure.
They allow you to customize your Bloody Mary.
When you order one, they will bring you a "menu" on which you can specify different types of juice, salt or not, which garnishes you'd like (olives, aspargus, bacon!) and what kind of vodka. Some of the selections may cost extra, but I think it's really nice to be given some choices. There's nothing worse than going to get a Bloody Mary thinking you're going to get olives and ending up with celery!

Buckley's in Belltown, without a doubt. Shoot -- I didn't even like bloody mary's before I had one of these. But with a shrimp skewer and a beer back? Damn, now you're talking...

Lottie's in Columbia City offers 5 Bloody Marys:

    -The Classic
    -Wasabi
    -Bloody Maria (tequila)
    -Cucumber
    -Hellfire (Hot, Hot, Hot!)

The Cucumber is my favorite...cool and refreshing but still spicy enough to make it interesting! It's garnished with olives, lemon and of course a cucumber.

The best Bloody Mary I have ever had was at a Circus Contraption show. It was spicy and came with a piece of pepperoni stick and shredded celery. Besides that, The Rusty Pelican has my vote. Again, delightfully spicy, and with a piece of pickled asparagus! YUM.

Linda's in Cap Hill! Strong and spicy in exactly the right amounts, and the pickled green beans are phenomenal...I could stuff my face with those all day. But then I wouldn't have room for their equally yummy breakfast.

Cafe Venus on Eastlake has an amazing bloody mary! They make their own gazpacho fresh every day so it's chunky, spicy, light and perfect like a mouthful of alcoholic summertime. The big ol' chunks of garlic are what really get me.

Easily the best bloody mary's in town are at Ray's Boathouse in Ballard. They don't really have a "brunch" but they have great lunch type food available at 11am.
