It varies wildly from dental practice to dental practice, depending on what they think the market will bear. If you're strapped for cash and need major dental work, try the UW School of Dentistry. They have a program where student dentists do major work under close supervision, and they offer a special credit line for expensive work. MUCH MUCH cheaper than having the work done at a private, for-profit dental practice.

They do offer routine dental services performed by DDS's as well, but those are not markedly less expensive than private practices.

It varies by provider but it will probably be between $100 - $150 for a cleaning. Fillings or other restorative work will be considerably more.

Not knowing what procedure you have in mind, $200-300 might be average. Scaling cleanings are several hundred, extraction can be 80-200, fillings can be 400+, crowns run 1200+...

Get Wa Dental ins if you can / if you have teeth prone to issues.

UW dental school cuts all these costs by half or so.

Half as much as they are willing to charge you otherwise. I know. They dropped the price when they found out I didn't have insurance any more...
