Teapot doesn't do dim sum. Sadly, the really good veg dim sum place, Vegetarian Bistro, closed recently. Might try Vegan Garden, in the ID. They are owned by the folks who ran the Bistro.

Northwest Tofu, at 19th and Jackson. They make their own tofu daily, and there's a whole page of veg/tofu versions of standard dim sum dumplings. The salt and pepper tofu is delicious, as is the green onion pancake. Most things are available with pork or chicken, too, so omnivores won't feel deprived.
It's not very pretty inside, but the food's great, and really cheap.

Dim sum tends to be generally vegetarian unfriendly. Most dim sum places don't consider seafood "meat", and will happily bring out shrimp dishes to the vegetarian at the table.

This isn't much of an answer; it's more of a warning about being careful if you're a vegetarian eating at a normal dim sum place. Unless you like shrimp.

Wow, I have been wondering this myself lately!
I loved the creative veggie Dim Sum at Vegatarian Bistro and was very sad to find out it closed.
Teapot and Vegan Garden don't have Dim Sum, but I am excited to try NW Tofu per alight's suggestion. I just wish they were open past 5:30!

Yeah I think you are mostly out of luck here.

I took my girlfriend to a Dim Sum joint a couple months ago not realizing that, though she isn't a vegetarian, she generally doesn't like a lot of meat and loathes seafood. There really was very very little she was able to actually stomach and there would have been less if she eliminated meat all together.

We're talking MAYBE some of the deserts but even then you can't be totally sure.

Chinese food culture is very animal product centric.
