Second and Third Beaches near Forks/La Push. National Geographic type views.

To throw something different out: Cape Disappointment State Park (Washington's far SW corner). It's got camping and yurts and cabins (much more comfy when the weather starts getting nasty). Two lighthouses (it's at the mouth of the Columbia), a Lewis and Clark Museum, WWII ruins, some Maya Lin art, and if you want a touch of small town life, you can hike/bike/drive over to Ilwaco or up to Long Beach.

Not a place to go for the wilderness experience, but a lot of great stuff packed into one state park.

I second Second Beach. Camped there last summer and it was amazing.

I also camped on this beach by Lake Ozette. There is a really cool trail that goes from Lake Ozette to the southern part of the beach (where we camped) then up the beach and finally back through the forest to where you started. http://www.cooltrails.com/ozette.htm

Shi Shi Beach was great. I just camped near Westport over the weekend and wasn't that impressed, although maybe it was just the campground (Twin Harbors) and the fact that the locals seemed put-off by our short hair and tattoos. Lesbians!

I hear that anything near La Push is amazing.

Don't do it. Its cold over there. The coast is for people who live east of the mountains and need an escape from the heat.

If you must, I like Kalaloch Campground near ruby beach. It is very beautiful area. You will have nearly unlimited hiking opportunities there.
