Suze, Salers, and Other Gentian-Based AperitifsOK, here's a HARD one: I want Suze. It's a very bitter yellow aperitif, sort of like Campari only more so (and not red). I brought a bottle back from Paris many moons ago, and I suspect I won't be returning soon, so I need to find it online (or in Canada?). Here's their terrible website: http://www.suze.com/ You'd think that being a Pernod brand the stuff would be relatively common, but you'd be wrong. So, where can I get this stuff? I don't care if it's illegal or not, I just WANT IT. I can't find it at the usual online liquor stores. Is there an especially great liquor store in Vancouver? In addition, I want to try other gentian-based booze. Another one is called Salers (http://www.gentiane-salers.com/pages/lagentiane.htm). Any ideas? I would also appreciate recommendations of other gentian-based booze I don't know about, beyond the common Campari and Aperol. Where did those cocktail people go? |
