What's the best non-bar dancing type bachelorette party idea?

My friend is getting married in late August and left it up to several of her friends to plan a bachelorette/bridal party type thing. Most of us live all over so we're not getting there until just before the wedding (which is on Whidbey, but these ideas could be for Whidbey or Seattle area). Thus, I'd estimate we only have 6ish hours to devote to this thing, including transportation, either the Thursday night or Friday morning.

She's definitely not the type to say no to going out drinking, but she's unconventional enough that I know something that standard might be a little disappointing.

So basically, what's a great, fairly interactive thing for a bachelorette party of 10-20 people to do in or near Seattle? Preferably fairly cheap, no more than $150ish a head at the very most. She loves the outdoors, etc.

    If it's that close in time to the wedding, I suspect you won't want to do a big tits-up drinkfest, so you can avoid hangovers while doing the last-minute wedding prep. For outdoorsy girls, you could combine the kayaking idea suggested by RM with dinner and a bit of drinking by renting kayaks at Aqua Verde Cafe and Paddle Club, paddling around the arboretum, then finishing with margaritas and yummy food at Aqua Verde. www.aguaverde.com

    Maybe rent (or if you already have them, cool) bikes and take ferries around the islands. Bike around a bit at each island, then go on to the next one. Picnic somewhere near the water or maybe splurge for a nice brunch?

    I'd also recommend hiking off I-90, twin falls is a great hike (with some places for swimming), and easy enough that out of shape girls won't be dying.

    Whidbey Island Kayaking Company does 2 hour guided sea kayaking tours for about $50 per adult. http://www.whidbeyislandkayaking.com/ Alki Kayak tours is another option in Seattle.

    Emerald City Trapeze Arts is in Seattle and offers a TON of different types of trapeze classes, with a discounted registration fee for groups over 8. Weekday classes $64, Weekend Classes $70.

    Recycled Cycles in the U District rents bikes to take out along the Burke Gilman which could be fun depending on the group. The deposit is steep, but assuming you don't break the bike it shouldn't be a big deal. http://www.recycledcycles.com/rentals
