Where can you buy (relatively) inexpensive smoked salmon?

Somewhere within a few miles of Eastlake, hopefully...

You can find it at any grocery store you'd normally frequent. However- if you want high quality wild fish- I'd suggest checking out somewhere that actually specializes in smoked fish, rather than just carries it.

Jensen's Smokehouse on Greenwood sells smoked wild king salmon at $9.99 for 7oz, which is a really good price, actually. They also sell keta (which comes from my work and is good quality) at $8.49 for 7oz. At that price it's worth the extra $1.50 for the king.

Ballard Market, Fresh Fish Company (also Ballard), Metropolitan Market, and Pike Place Fish are all good bets. Whole Foods of course carries it but will most likely be marked up.

Gerard & Dominique is a good brand to look for in other chain grocery stores (their fish also comes from my work). As is Sea Bear (specializing in wild AK products). Taku Smokeries (takustore.com) is about the best smoked fish you'll ever get, but has to be done via mail order and is expensive.
