How does a newborn get into newborn modelling?

I was just looking at a pampers ad and wondering about this. Not that I am interested for practical reasons, but it just seems strange - do the babies get spotted on the street and the parent receive a card from an agent? Or are there agents roaming the hospitals in search of babies with symmetrical faces and high cute quotients? Or do the parents have to make a conscious decision to get their baby into modeling?

Its on the parents not the kid the parents have to be manageable. no place will hire a kid if the mom or dad is an a-hole. if the kid is cute go to a modeling place and try out.. (obviosly)

There is no shortage of parents who want their babies to be models, and they contact the agencies. I've been surprised by parents I know who have done this. I think part of it is due to the way so many parents thinks their own baby is the most beautiful in the world.

There are indeed modelling/talent agencies that ONLY handle children, that parents contact (or agents who troll cute-baby contests) to get babies in contract. They have to be more than cute & with willing parents... they need to be able to WORK: be able to put up with a 2 to 4 hour photo shoot without losing their shit.
