is it possible to put android on a non-android phone?

I know I missed Geek Week, but I am thinking of buying a cheapo Nokia smartphone... And I would like to be able to run Android on it in order to have access to Android apps. Is this possible?

Not to my knowledge, but look on Craigslist for used smartphones that are in your network (i.e. G1, MyTouch on T-mobile, Droid on Verizon, etc.).

You'll still have to pay to have network access on your plan, but it would allow you to get a phone for less.

Is it possible to put Android on a Nokia smartphone? The internet says yes: http://technience.com/2010/06/27/android-flys-nokia-n900/

Is it possible to put Android on your specific phone? I have no idea, as you didn't say what model you're thinking about buying.
