Where is a good place to buy a tabletop cover?

I have a nice wood table measuring 5' x 3'6". I'd like to buy a glass or acrylic/clear plastic table top to cover it with and to show off my nice tablecloth underneath. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to buy one for not too much dough? Thanks!

It might sound strange, but you should call NW Shower Doors (located in the SODO district). They can cut any type of glass to your specifications, are reasonably priced, and easy to work with. I can't recommend them enough!

Tap plastics can make any custom acrylic top and inexpensive to boot. Glass will cost you more coin, but can be done by your local window/glass shops, just look in the yellow pages under glass and windows and they can set you up. Remember to ask for polished edges.

Laird Plastics has full sheets of a broad range of clear plastics. Pacific Iron & Metal's store on 4th Av S also has a selection of (usually) large pieces from partially cut up stock, as well as entire sheets of some stocks... & will cut to order. ^..^

I know Ikea sells great durable glasstop covers. We've used them multiple times for various sizes. I would highly recommend them!

TAP Plastics near downtown near Aurora has a great selection of plexiglass (much cheaper than glass). It comes in several thicknesses and they will cut to size. Also has a store in Bellevue.

I have heard nothing but great things about Perkins Glass on the corner of Broadway and Pike next to the framing store. They will cut glass to size for you and sell it to you much much cheaper than a specialty furniture or hardware store. http://www.perkinsglassseattle.com/
