Does anyone know what was going on on Aurora northbound last night?

I sort of hate these questions, but I'm also so curious!

I saw that Aurora northbound was closed at the Queen Anne on-ramp around 7:30 - traffic was being redirected around on Dexter. Buses were down there too so it looked like it had been going on for some time. When I was going back around 9:30 there was still a ton of traffic going north but the bridge was back open at this point.

I know there have been closures for the construction of the suicide fence but those are usually only one or two lanes (not all three) and are usually later or during less trafficky times. Anyone know what was up?

Unfortunately, a teenage girl was threatening to jump. The good news is, she didn't.

I think that was probably a threatened suicide. It happens occasionally that they close all the lanes while negotiating with/rescuing a jumper. If it was police vehicles blocking, and not any of the yellow-light-topped construction trucks.

It's also possible that it was construction, though they generally don't schedule work like that in the early evening because it fucks up traffic. They did daytime lane closures last weekend because the work they were doing was too loud to do in the nighttime hours, so it could maybe have been something like that.
