How do I get rid of a car in California without a title? My friend just drove down to San Diego from Rhode Island with the intention of selling her car there and flying back to Europe. The problem is that Rhode Island doesn't require a title for vehicles as old as hers, but California demands a title for any car, any transaction (sell, transfer, donate, junk). She doesn't want any money for the car, just to get rid of it legally. Getting a copy of the title is impossible and she leaves tomorrow at midday. Any ideas??? |
