Turn off the computer for a little while. Seriously, spend some time doing something other than looking at stupid stuff online. Find new things to be interested in, outside of the internet, and then when you go back you will have all new kinds of things to read about and follow.

The easiest way to find new content on the web is to allow other people to bring it to you.

There are lots of aggregator/social bookmarking sites out there with user-generated links. Some of the more noteworthy ones are Fark.com, del.icio.us, reddit.com, digg.com, newsvine.com, metafilter.com, and boingboing.net.

For more specialized knowledge, google until you find a site you like, and then plunder its links. Academic sites often link citations, bloggers often link similar bloggers, etc. I've found some really interesting stuff just by following citations from Wikipedia.

Google more. Google things you're interested in or don't know about, and hope to stumble across some blogs written by smart people who know obscure things.

Follow blogs that cover a lot of ground, and go off in tangents when they give you links. For instance, I look at Boing Boing sometimes, and they just recently linked to the amazing www.lileks.com. Hours of enjoyment there.

Check out people who are smarter than you, or more far-ranging, and try to follow at least a little of what they say. For instance, if you're interested in music, have a look (and a listen) to the weirdos at blog.wfmu.org. You'll expand your horizons.
