No, you're not telepathic, nor can you read people terribly well. The evidence is all your hysteria in your quests to bed a wannabe Catholic deacon.

    Sorry.

To be serious, I don't think it's telepathy. It could be that you're very sensitive to people. Or it could be that you've made some lucky guesses and forgot/ignored the times you were wrong. Quite possibly, it's both.

When I was in my early 20s I was sensitive to people AND conveniently forgot when I was wrong, so I thought my record was perfect. Luckily, a good friend pointed out that if I thought I was infallible about people I was almost certainly kidding myself. This made me more sensitive and a lot less cocky.

You're right, that does sound crazy.

But, on the off chance that you can actually read people's minds, hie thee to Vegas and make yourself a fortune.

It's called cold reading. Or perhaps a histrionic personality type.

Sounds like empathy: telepathy is supposedly sending messages back and forth. Empathy is 'reading' clues about someone's state of mind, decision making process, mental stability and mostly, emotions. Some empathics can utilize their skill to "tell the future" - i.e. guess the most likely outcome/decision based on the emotional state observed/'read'.
Also at play may just be 'learned behavior': perhaps the people you are around are woefully predictable.

Empathy is real. HOW it works is, reasonably, under debate.

Get to the nearest police department and offer your services. Heck, skip that and go to the FBI. They could use you over there.
