What's the comfiest cafe in Seattle?

Seattle has a ton of great coffeehouses for working -- nice big tables, free Wi-Fi, etc. But what if you want to curl up and read a book? What are the best cafes with cushy armchairs and worn-in sofas?

I'll second Zoka in Wallingford -- actually in the "Tangletown" neighborhood close to Green Lake. Though god knows what time you have to get there to get one of those comfy seats; I've never seen one open.

Lots of libraries have the tables and wi-fi, and some of the older ones have the comfy chairs. The remodeled ones like Greenwood seem to have bought all their upholstered furniture at the Marquis de Sade's Chamber of Horrors.

Back in the early 90's, The Rosebud on Pike Street used to be exactly what you're asking for. Oh, how I wish I could go there again.

In today's Seattle, you can find some big comfy armchairs at Zoka in Wallingford and the U-District. Good coffee and food too.

Third Place Books in Ravenna also has a fireplace with a couple of couches but I don't know of anywhere like the old Rosebud.

Aster Coffe in Ballard on 24th has some comfy chairs that face the window. Their not the cushy armchair type (I think they have wooden arms) but they're low to the ground and I've always found them to be more for reading and less for laptopping. Plus they have some tasty treats. (Java Bean further up the street on 24th has a big, soft couch that'll nearly swallow you, but you usually gotta wait your turn to get a seat on it.)
