How long can you keep frozen vegetables in the freezer?

I am thinking specifically of some frozen New Mexico green chile I've had for about a year in the freezer. It was roasted and frozen in freezer bags. As anyone who is from or has visited NM will tell you, green chile is a precious and delicious commodity and I don't want to waste it. Thanks!

I'm married to a native New Mexican and we've got about 20 containers of the Bueno green in our freezer right now. It's our treasure trove.

I haven't noticed any issue with keeping green chile in the freezer for long periods. The one fact I CAN tell you is that green chile gets hotter the longer it's frozen. Crazy delicious, but true!

Its probably still good and hasn't gone rotten, but depending on your freezer, it might have gotten freezer burnt and might not taste very good anymore

According to my very smart freezer, nothing should be in there for more than one year.
