Suggestion Please - does anyone still write cyberpunk?I love George Alec Effinger's When Gravity Fails trilogy. I love the technology, mixed with body switching, mixed with gritty detective work. I want to find more books like it, but can't. Seems there are a lot steampunk books lately, which are fun but not nearly as satisfying. I want modern cyberpunk. (All I find when I search for cyberpunk is from the 80s and 90s.) I also don't want it to be over-technical, want there to be more story than just the world and technology. Is that just too tall of an order? Help please. |
