Suggestion Please - does anyone still write cyberpunk?

I love George Alec Effinger's When Gravity Fails trilogy. I love the technology, mixed with body switching, mixed with gritty detective work. I want to find more books like it, but can't. Seems there are a lot steampunk books lately, which are fun but not nearly as satisfying. I want modern cyberpunk. (All I find when I search for cyberpunk is from the 80s and 90s.) I also don't want it to be over-technical, want there to be more story than just the world and technology. Is that just too tall of an order? Help please.

Jeff Vandermeer's first book, Veniss Underground, might work for you. The rest of his stuff is great, too, but more steampunky.
