Visitor in WA gets tickets

Hi im from CA and just got back from WA, i loved it but the 3 days i was there was infortunate to have some bad experiences in a rental car. At space needle i got a ticket for not paying for parking at a large lot with a sign that says public parking. $35 they took pics of the license plates :( of rental car. Second day coming back from Port Angeles late at night i gey lost and end up taking the 16 toll road and cant get out so i end up driving past a lit arch that probably has cameras. Third day i go to pike place and get ticket from a metermaid that didnt see that i had payed!!! So before i came back i tell the rental people the situation and ask them if they can fix it or what to do, and they basically tell me im on my own. So what now what should i do i live in CA and i was a tourist in a rental car

You should probably pay the fines and take it as a lesson to pay more attention to what you're doing in the future. By the by, "public parking" does not mean free parking, it just means anyone can park there. Just like public transportation means anyone can take it, but doesn't mean it's free.

Sorry, pal, I'm not seeing anything here that wasn't entirely your fault.

If you call the city and tell them you're from out of town and didn't understand how to work the big fancy electronic parking meter thing, you can probably get that one dropped.

Wouldn't hold out much hope for the others, though. If you can pay them before they get refered to the rental company, that would be good since sometimes they will hose with huge "processing fees" for looking up your information to rat you out.
