  5 2 You should probably pay the fines and take it as a lesson to pay more attention to what you're doing in the future. By the by, "public parking" does not mean free parking, it just means anyone can park there. Just like public transportation means anyone can take it, but doesn't mean it's free. I have never been to a place where its an open lof with nothing stating fees or an employee overseeing the parking business. Oh and about the booth thats my biggest concern. first of all i dont know what the damage is on that one. And second, will i get something mailed here in CA or will it get sent to the rental joint. I dont want the rental place to screw me for having to pay a ticket i earned commented about 1 year ago | Report 0 0 If the toll booth was camera-monitored, it most likely got a shot of the license plate, which means a ticket, if any, will get sent to the owner, which is the rental operation. Most likely this kind of situation is covered by the rental agreement you signed, so you can read your copy if you want to know what will likely happen. I'd guess they'll send you a bill, and charge your credit card if you don't pay up in a timely manner. But, the procedure should be outlined in the agreement, so I would read that instead of taking my best guess.   1 0 If you call the city and tell them you're from out of town and didn't understand how to work the big fancy electronic parking meter thing, you can probably get that one dropped. Wouldn't hold out much hope for the others, though. If you can pay them before they get refered to the rental company, that would be good since sometimes they will hose with huge "processing fees" for looking up your information to rat you out.
