  0 0 I second the Prophecy. Here's one more-off-the-beaten-path that you might not otherwise see. "The Church". Italian horror flick directed by Michele Soavi and produced by Dario Argento. + Do yourself a favor and pick up Preacher, starting from issue 1. It's a comic, not a movie. But if you like this sort of theme, it's one of the best there is.   0 0 So...movies about the battles between Heaven and Hell? Or movies where a demonic presence is a primary character? One underrated film that you might enjoy is Angel Heart, with Mickey Rourke, Lisa Bonet and Robert DeNiro. Also, while I hesitate to recommend it because it's not that great, you might enjoy The Ninth Gate by Roman Polanski. Other recommendations: The Seventh Sign, starring a very pregnant Demi Moore and Jurgen Prochnow as the second coming of Christ. Rosemary's Baby, if you haven't seen it yet, is required. Even if they avoided being killed by rivals, when they kicked the bucket some upstart would seize power and then off the previous emperor's kids.
