Is there any way to help and/or convince someone who is chronically suicidal/self-harming that they shouldn't kill/hurt themselves?I am at a loss. I don't know how to help. Maybe I can't. What do I do, just stand by and watch this person eventually kill themselves? I mean, I have been suicidal in the past, but my friend is way worse off than I was in many respects. Maybe you all have some good advice or helpful solutions??? This person has been in therapy forever, been on meds and off, also abuses other substances. Been in and out of hospitals, etc. Sometimes I feel like I just make things worse rather than better too. :( |
