I haven't been in quite awhile but Mars Bar/Cafe Venus used to have a great jukebox.

And, I'll second the vote for Mecca.

The Pacific Inn has a pretty good one if you're into the power pop/punk/rock thing. The Tigertail in Ballard has a good one too, if you're into cult favorites. Or for something a little different, try the Flying Squirrel Pizzeria in Seward Park where they play mix tapes!

"rocking" is not necessarily equal to "awesome".

That said, the question assumes "rocking", and without a doubt, The Funhouse's jukebox is the most rocking in the Selections With Songs That Have Loud Fucking Guitars department... just edging out The Mecca.

If you mean rockin' as far as bar/lifestyle/sum-of-the-parts kinda deal: The Mecca. The Five Point comes close.

(Before all of these, the video game arcade/bar on Pine street from the early 2000s had the most rocking jukebox, but sadly that place is no more. It was the only jukebox I've seen that had Screamers and Suicide in it. That's immediately a most rocking jukebox.)

Five Point and the Fun House both have jukeboxes (though the Fun House one isn't that great), as does the Hurricane. I never go in the bar area of the Hurricane, though, so I don't know if they juke music plays in there or just the restaurant. I think Shorty's has one?

Of all of those, I think Five Point is your best bet.

Nightlite on second. Put on any song and watch the bar erupt in song and dance.

I just went to Vermilion for the first time the other night, and their Grease Machine kept my attention (and quarters) all night. Not exactly 'rocking', but definitely awesome.

The Al's Jukebox is TERRIBLE. and broken 50% of the time. The one at the Moon Temple is ok but beware that you will sometimes get charged extra for certain songs... the box downloads ones you want and then charges for the downloading.

Bill's off Broadway has an EXCELLENT one... and the one at the Hideout is ok and free.

I hazily remember The Viking in Ballard having a pretty sweet jukebox.

i'd second redwood (also linda's, smith, etc).

oh also on the dive tip - the moon temple, smokeshop, golden city, sloop (i think?), al's in wallingford, pacific inn on stone way oh and the tin hat in ballard.

The Twilight Exit on 25th and Cherry has an excellent juke. Always has.
