Questions about this year's Project Runway...

a) Do you think Gretchen is a bitch? and/or do you think her complaining is valid?

b) Do you think Michael C. really did say those things about Ivy? If not, who is lying?

c) Do you think Michael C. is really that bad of a designer, or did he just become a scapegoat for some reason?

d) Who seems to be the best designer so far?

e) Do you think there will be a mega-blow out war between the designers this year?

f) What was the point of everyone throwing Michael C. under the bus in that one episode when there was no way he could be eliminated AND they had agreed ahead of time NOT to throw anyone under the bus?!? Did the designers really think they could make them change the rules and get rid of him even though he had immunity?

g) Is this the bitchiest group of designers so far?

Feel free to answer any/all. :)

Best season ever for drama and bitchiness, worst season ever for clothes. None of these people have done anything you couldn't find at Penney's for $14 on sale.

Gretchen's a bit of a bitch, but she's got some skill to back it up. Ivy's just a bitch. There's no way Michael C. actually said that, or we'd have seen the tape. Michael is clueless when it comes to sewing and construction but actually has some almost-ideas, unlike most of them, including Ivy. Ivy's got nothing. But yes, they are obviously editing towards a big throwdown confrontation of some kind. Should be juicy. Maybe Ivy and Michael together on a team challenge.

Best designers so far? Gretchen deserves some consideration, but my favorites are Mondo and Andy. Mondo LOOKS like a guy who'd be all drama all the time but is actually very quiet and workmanlike -- maybe too quiet. He got robbed last week for sure, by Michael's piece of crap -- though Michael's was at least hinting in the direction of magazine fashion. We've got a long way to go, and some of these folks have barely been touched on.

One thing some people seem to have missed is that Tim's outburst wasn't actually directed at Gretchen, but at the other designers, for letting her get away with it. That's junior-high groupthink bullying crap, and it's really irritating -- and tone-deaf as well, since the designers can't see what Michael is doing right.

    A) Hell yes. She'll throw just about anyone under the bus and then justify it away.

    B) I really wish we had video of it. Until I see some real evidence, my jury is out on it. Both Ivy and Michael seem pretty shallow to me.

    C) I've never been a fan. So many other designers seem to actually have a plan and think things through. Michael just seems to get lucky that his stuff comes out decent *and* that the judges like it.

    D) As much as I hate to say it, Gretchen is up there. My others are Christopher, Mondo, and Andy.

    E) Unlikely. Just some petty bickering that Lifetime will try to trump up into some sort of major production.

    F) There was no point. Michael was just the easy-out answer to the question.

    G) I'd have to say... yes. Especially now that Peach is gone which is sad since she was a nice change of pace.
