any good metal/welding artists in Seattle?

I would love to have a local artist weld something interesting on my stair railing leading up to my house. It's just a boring metal bar right now and it needs some spark :)

Oh my gosh, there are SO many amazing metal artists in Seattle! Contact anyone in the sculpture department at Pratt Fine Arts (http://www.pratt.org/) for recommendations on welders, blacksmiths and sculptors.

A couple of my favorite local artists are Carla Grahn (she teaches at Pratt, but also has a website--http://carlagrahn.com/default.aspx) and Andy and Lisa at Firelight Forge (http://www.equinoxstudios.org/artists/firelightforge/index.html).

Buphalo has done some interesting work in metal, some of it doing found objects/salvage. He's been one of the artists at the Solstice Fire Festival (he's the creator of Fire Pod) and I think he's still got a sculpture up by the Nature Consortium in West Seattle--he's on the staff there. I'd check with him.
