How do you make money when you are broke?

Times are tight. I have a job that pays ok and I have been selling my plasma and selling off my book collection to try and make ends meet. Does anybody have any advice on how to make some extra cash? I have some evenings free and weekends but my schedule is hectic enough that getting a 2nd job is not an option at this point.

There are lots of websites out there where you can make a little extra cash.

    Check out:
    fiverr.com (Post stuff you'd do for $5.)
tutor.com (Tutor people online and get paid.)
demandstudios.com (Hires freelance writers, copy editors, and filmmakers.)
justanswer.com (Experts get paid to answer stuff.)
    liveops.com (Customer service site.)

And those are just a few. Search around, and I bet you can find a way to make money online during your free evenings and weekends! Good luck!

You do what everybody else does, I guess. Get a roommate, even if you don't want to. You search for jobs that are only on weekends, or you take a graveyard shift on. You buy in bulk. I mean, that's what I do. Oh, and wallow.
Is there anything you can get rid of? Carmax buys cars you are paying on, and in this city you can get by without one. Or if you have a truck, you could help people move things.. when I used to thrift, I always needed someone to help me get furniture from goodwill & stuff, and would have to ask around until someone said they knew someone.
Don't you dare Spange unless you're a fucking loser.

If you have a car, deliver pizza one night a week. They're always desperate for drivers, so the schedule is flexible. Do it in the burbs though for a better tip average.

Same as everyone else--cut expenses and find more work. If you can't find more work, then keep cutting expenses.

Aside from working the track, drive for cash!

evenings & weekends free? OK: Do you have car?
LMNOP is dead on: Try part-time pizza driving. There's little that feels more awesome when you're dead broke than Cash In Pocket nightly.

Word from the wise: Do NOT work for the cheap chains: cheap pizza = cheap tips.

Do you have any skills? You can get involved with http://dibspace.com/ and start trading your time for some of the services you currently pay cash for.
