Questionland is releasing a mobile version! What would make you use it and love it?

We're releasing a mobile version of Questionland later this year and would love to know what you think its must have features should be.

It's being built with mobile-web technologies so it will be available as an app for the iPhone and Android and will also work through any mobile browser.

Thanks so much for your ideas. Marty

Holy shit. I will never be productive again.

Things that would make it ultra-rad:

    - Making sure you keep the 'add images etc' thing available. I'm sure I don't need to remind you how many questions on here seem to take the form on "Hey what the fuck is with those ________ I keep seeing in/on ______ ". Weird signs? Balloons? Snap a photo with your smartphone and post it here. Done.

    - Make it free.

    - Also, being able to toggle your push notifications is always nice.

Oh, good, Android support was at the top of my list. (Also, cough, cough, the Windows 7 phone people are calling for apps.)

    My thought for features:

Would it be possible to sort the questions with a more meaningful filter? Instead of time-stamping them, filter them (within a certain date range) by relevance within the community. Those that get more reads or more responses filter up. (And possibly also those that don't have many answers but are posted by reputable people.

A second vote for "add images" but updated image handling across the site would be nice, too. Next time I'm stumped with a tree (heh), I'd like to post the pic directly. As it is now, I have to link to an existing posted picture on some other website.

    The basics:

    1) Ask, answer, comment, vote on all, and award mushroom

    2) Preview questions, answers, and comments

    3) Add an image to an answer. Uploading from camera to multiple services and auto-linking would be nice, but being able to link to an image already hosted somewhere is essential.

    4) Question, answer, and contributor search

    5) All of the question and answer filters from the website

    6) Notification dashboard and push notifications when your question is answered, answer is commented on, etc (anything that would generate an email)

    7) Landscape keyboard (very important!)

    New mobile-oriented features:

    1) Mark questions/answers as read on both the mobile version and website. I would treat the mobile version more like an RSS feed, so it would be nice to see new or unread items at a glance. Logging the last time I opened a question/answer page and using that to mark "new" items would be a good compromise.

    2) Add bookmarks to both the mobile version and website. This would be for a question I want to answer or an answer I want to comment on, but I don't want to type on the tiny iPhone keyboard or I just can't do it at the moment. This would be a useful feature even for someone that only uses the website.

    3) Geo-tag a question or answer using the current GPS location

Considering that since it is a mobile version, the approach should be slightly different from the web version:

    - Dashboard centered. The main screen should have a summary of your stuff e.g. your questions, your answers, notifications, etc.

    - When you're on the question browsing view, the capacity to toggle between the most relevant questions and all of them should exist.

    - maybe a 'favorite categories' preset view could be useful so you don't have to see all of them on your phone.

    - an refresh rate setting so you don't suck up bandwidth you don't need to.

    - clean UI over flashy stuff. always.

    - free, of course

hmmm... plus all the 'by default' UX stuff that normally make apps not suck.

please make sure logging in and staying logged in is easy. i hate apps that make me type stuff first thing upon opening. i don't mind being asked for my password every couple months though.

I echo the Android platform, because I won't believe it until I see it. The Cocktail Compass and Savage Love apps are continuing to promise Android apps, but I think they're just trying to appease us.

So puhleeeeeeeezzzzzeeee make an Android version!!!!

I'd love to see this, too.
I don't have any unique requests, I'll just reiterate the ones I have read below: make it simple, make it customizable, and while free is neat, i understand you need to pay for your time, so i'm willing to shell out a buck or two for it. i think that will go a long way to filter out the (cheap-ass) trolls! it's not a right to be able to rant on Qland, so by all means, charge for admission!
i think being able to filter out unwanted/unread categories will be helpful, too.
