Where can I get an unconventional-sized movie poster quality custom framed for a reasonable price?

I collect promotional television and vintage movie posters, and the framing can get quite expensive, especially for promo posters which are often oddly sized. Any suggestions for a collector gal like me on a budget?

My husband had a European (i.e., not conventionally sized) poster "framed" for me - I don't remember the exact name for what they did, but it was basically mounted on something and then finished on top - so there's no frame per se, but it looks awesome. There were rips and wrinkles in it as well, which are hardly noticeable. I remember him saying it was significantly cheaper then having it framed.

Well, you can always learn to do it yourself...

How unconventional of a size are we talking here? Also it really depends on if you just want to protect it, or if you want an extremely attractive display.

You can often times by framing kits for dirt cheapish on the internet.

    http://wholesaleposterframes.com/

for example. You can buy readymade frames, or buy a sheet of plexi from the hardware store and just buy the raw materials to frame it in.

Or get a part time job at aaron brothers and make em yourself on the DL.

Penny Lane's answer is great for some applications but if you're a collector, having them mounted may ruin the collectibility and value of the piece so I would avoid that in this instance.
