Where to buy marzipan in Seattle?

I need some already made marzipan... like, now. Does anywhere sell it, preferably around Cap Hill, 1st Hill, downtown area?

I know Larsen's Bakery in Ballard has it. They make it there, and you can buy it in blocks, I think.

Otherwise, I would call around to various bakeries. Any bakery that sells an almond croissant will probably have marzipan, as this is typically the filling in those pastries.

Cost Plus World Market carries Neideregger brand, which is some of the finest stuff available, IMO. Check out the Neideregger website for a dose of Marzipan Porn!

If you go to the candy section of Cost Plus World Market, they sell in logs the size of summer sausage.

Safeway and QFC carry it in the baking section.

If Larsen's does indeed sell it in blocks, that might be your best bet since Larsen's prices are very reasonable, but it's definitely not close to Capitol/First Hill.

Chocolati has marzipan candies. There's a cafe at the downtown library but I have no idea if they stock their full range or not so you might want to call first.

Or did you want the type that goes in pastries?
