Likely I will not be there. Trying to interact with drinking hipsters can be intimidating and frustrating. And the last time I went to a slog happy the brownies were gone by the time I arrived, which saddened me greatly.

Although it's tempting to go in order to check out Padrino's Pizza as I've never had their stuff yet. How's their pizza?

Yup! My first time. I had been wondering if there'd be a Questionland Happy instead, but I suppose there's plenty of spillover. ;-)

I've heard so many horror stories about slog happy hours -- folks leaving in tears from all the insults flying around, fights breaking out outside (due to the insults flying inside), folks being harassed and marginalized for not being liberal enough, Slog non-celebrities (folks who read Slog, but don't comment regularly or at all) being ejected, folks being sidelined or thrown out for legitimately criticizing the Stranger or for not living in/near Capitol Hill, etc. Since I rarely comment on Slog, don't worship the Stranger or its staff (though, don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan), don't live near Capitol Hill, am a political independent (and thus "not liberal enough" by Seattle standards), and have rather thin skin, I won't go. But, since it sounds like you go to these events and enjoy them, have you ever witnessed anything awful happening there?

I do a Thursday happy hour DJ weekly at Havana, otherwise I'd go.

Next time Slog Happy goes to Havana Social Club, I will not only be there djing, but will take requests in advance for songs the Slog Happiers want to hear.

Sadly, I wont be, as I have a work party to attend. I have yet to go to a Slog Happy, but I feel I am now ready to take on the metaphysical presence that is Charles Muedede.
