Where are good swing sets near Greenlake and the U-District?

I'm looking for a nice swing set to enjoy after hearing about damned resonance frequencies and shite all morning. I don't want tons of rug-rats running around and I'd like them to be BIG! Please help me.

I haven't been there since last summer, but Meridian Park on Meridian Ave. and N 50th St. in Wallingford has nice swings. Possibly too many kids.

I used to live right by a park in upper Queen Anne that has great swings. After 6 or so the playground is usually deserted, and the swings are set apart from the big play structure.

In my opinion, the best swings in Seattle are at Magnolia Park . There isn't a big playground there, so there generally aren't that many kids. Plus the park has free parking, AND one of the most beautiful views in the city. I also haven't been there in a while, and sometimes parks fall victim to evil neighborhood groups who think big swings are dangerous, so I can't guarantee they're still there. But if they are, they're worth the trip to Magnolia.

Cowen park has some decent ones. A few years back I swung on one of them too long and almost vomited afterwards. I guess i'm just getting old.

I like the ones by Evans Pool at Greenlake, but they're always aswarm with kids. Just wear a trenchcoat and no pants, their parents'll clear them out of there.

NE 77th St and 25th Ave NE: the Waldo Dahl playfield. They (at least within the past two years) had a huge swingset AND one of those nausea-inducing kiddy merry-go-rounds. There's a little parking lot, and it's a big, flat, grassy playfield with rounded gravel below the toys.
