where can i find a basic auto repair class in Seattle?

I just bought my 17 year old son a car. There were reasons. One of the conditions on him having and operating his own car was that he take a basic class so that he understands how a car works and can do simple repairs on his own. I don't want a full-fledged certificate program like the one at SSSC; just a basic intro class. Where do I find such a class in the Seattle area?

It looks like the 101 class at Shorline is geared (har har) towards both people starting the program and people who just want to learn about basic mechanics:

I think I've seen DIY auto repair listed among the classes given in Seattle Central's community education courses. Watch for the Spring/Summer catalog, or better yet, contact them and ask if they will be offering a class soon.

There are also video guides online that teach basic car repair. eHow has a bunch of videos on things like changing a battery, changing oil, etc. You two could watch the videos and then practice on the car as a test.

Kudos for requiring him to know how to do the basics before he gets to drive. My dad taught me and then made me show him I could check and change the oil and filter, flush and fill the radiator, and change a tire (twice) before I was allowed to drive the family station wagon.
