Cheap groceries?

I just moved into Seattle. Where are the best/cheapest places to shop in the city? Outside the city?

According to consumer checkbook, the best store chain for pricing overall is Fred Meyer. There are quite a few of them around and they are also good for clothing and hardware.

I always go to Fred Meyer but I feel like that has gone up in price. Winco is really cheap but the drive and gas cost outweigh the savings in food prices.

Grocery Outlet is really cheap but kind of gross. There is one on 130th and Aurora, and one in the Central District on MLK. It is good for things like toilet paper and non-perishables, but their deli is full of expired things.
