fashion crystal ball: what's the next big retro fashion trend, yet unseen, around the bend?

(My bet would be on 30-yr cycles: another round of retro 50's, flavored heavy by the mid80's (think Stray Cats c.1983)

Oh man... The NYT runs some of the most ridiculous stories on fashion trends ever. Last year, they claimed beer bellies were a hot summer accessory.

I agree that the NYT fashion coverage can be ridiculous, but the Elaine look really is happening. I've seen it on 20 year old hipsters who probably don't even realize what they're doing.
