Is there a Seattle coffeeshop that 1. lets me linger 2. has toys and kid stuff and 3. has an outlet near the kid area?

I'm trying to find a place to get some work done on my laptop while my kids play.

The Green Bean on 85th and Greenwood would fit all your requirements, and it's run by great people.

Likewise, Makeda Coffee on 78th and Greenwood is smaller and darker, but has what you're looking for.

Mosaic Coffeehouse in Wallingford. It's behind Dick's on 45th. Has kid play area and it's a non-profit, so you pay what you can. Which doesn't mean you don't pay.

Twirl on Queen Anne has an awesome kids play area. Don't know about the outlet, but I'm betting they have that too.

Vios, Mosaic and Green Bean -- all mentioned already and THE most kid-friendly in the city.

Firehouse Coffee in Ballard is great, and I know they have outlets nearby; Magnolia Coffee Co. is also good, but don't know about the outlet situation. I love Tougo, but while they have lots of workspaces in the business, none conducive to watching your kids in the kid area - I might give it a miss. Mosaic coffee shop in Wallingford is amazing, but again unsure of the outlet situation in the kid area, but DEFINATELY worth checking out. They have a very large play area with lots of toys and new friends.

Tougo at 18th & Union has a kid's area, although I'm not sure about the outlet question. They do have a lot of them, but I have no idea what their proximity is to the back room.

I've had no problem with spending practically the whole day there.

Not sure about the outlet, but Peak's Frozen Custard has a full espresso bar and a great kids play area that is separated from the main seating area, so you aren't as worried about your noisy kids disturbing the other customers. They encourage patrons to stay for a while and also sell quiche and (I think) sandwiches.

    Also: affogato. Yum.
