What Questionland advanced search functions or language winnow down the results?

I searched this question thinking it had been answered before - no luck. Typing "advanced search" into the search box didn't bring up any FAQ or even any relevant postings.

(I discounted postings similar to http://questionland.com/questions/16240-why-does-slogs-search-suck-so-badly)

Please suggest Questionland advanced search functions or language that will help winnow down the search results. What search techniques work best for you?

Are you asking if there's Boolean search capability? (Similar to what's available for the Google search engine: (slog AND potatoes) NOT (questionland OR turkey) -- returns results that include the terms "slog" and "potatoes" but excludes any results from that also include either "questionland" or "turkey". I don't know if there's Boolean searching available -- one of the moderators would know.

Sometimes you can't find questions because they've simply been deleted by the author.

    You mean like this?

    http://www.google.com/search?q=advanced+search+functions+site:questionland.com&hl=en&num=10&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images

Just use Google and narrow your results to the "questionland.com" domain.
