Why are people so uptight on Questionland?

This is not Life or Death land. It's supposed to be a playful little site where anyone can ask any question he or she wants. Why is it necessary to gang up on people, and spew vitriol just because he or she asks a question certain people don't approve of?

I think Questionland is fun, and I don't think I'm uptight! There are trolls/uptight people/mean people/etc. in every online community. We're best to just ignore them.

uptight? maybe just a bit frustrated and annoyed at times.

I (and I'm sure others) like to occasionally pull up the main questionland page and see what the latest questions are. Sometimes though the page is nearly filled with questions from the same person. Questions like "Do you put on your right or left shoe first?" or "Have you ever posted to questionland while having sex" or "Does anyone else love fresh baked bread?"

Some people perceive some of questions as frivolous. Seeing them clutter the top page makes them annoyed. They want to see the main page filled with interesting and useful questions.

Most people have tons of questions in them. However, we self-censor ourselves or we use google. A site like http://ask.metafilter.com has a limit of one question per user per week. When you post a question you want to be sure it's one you really want to ask the hive. I wouldn't mind questionland having a limit of one question per user per day. Or maybe two or three per day. But then people might just start creating joke accounts to ask more questions. Oh well.

I dunno, man... I mean, a little playful ribbing is fine, but some folks are just mean-spirited.

I don't know. People seem to have some serious issues.
