Strings are great. Also, gift cards to a music store, perhaps Bass NW in Pioneer Square or American Music?

I'd also enjoy a new Fender Jazz bass.

Strings, if you know what kind s/he likes. Those get expensive quickly.

A Fernandes Nomad bass--it's got a built-in amp and speaker, for God's sake! This way your obsessive bass player can play bass and be heard wherever they go!

    Bass guitar?

    Bandaids.

    A booking.

Another new vocalist for the band.

Haircare gift certificate. The LOOK is important, dammit.

Nice personalized or handmade guitar strap.

Mix tape / cd / mp3-playlist of great bass tunes. Me, I like the Slap Bass style, so the Barney Miller Theme leads off my "bassline" playlist...

A "finger strengthener"--Its a handheld device that works out individual fingers. Umm If it's a stand up bass a bow quiver would also be a really nice gift.

Is this a bass guitar type thing, or like the classical bass type thing?
