-The EMP is fun if music is your deal. Lots of the exhibits are interactive.

-The aquarium. You could sit and watch the fish for hours in the big dome room.

    -Go play pinball at Shorty's

-Central cinema has a cartoon happy hour.

On a sunny day like today was, the Central Library is awesome for light, geometry, color, people-watching, comfy furniture areas, and coffee & snacks downstairs.*

I don't know how long you could actually hang out but Area 51 has tons of awesome shit to ogle and/or sit upon.

Washington State Ferry! Heated passenger deck with full snack bar.

Pacific Science Center! And then go see an IMAX film. Make sure you grab some fudge first from the Center House.

Frye Museum is free and then you could go to the tropical plant conservatory at Volunteer Park.

The zoo has some nice indoor tropical areas with weird animals and warm humid air. On a cold Seattle winter day, the poison dart frogs are pretty trippy no matter what your condition: http://www.zoo.org/Page.aspx?pid=283#trf

For a similarly balmy experience with less expense, there is a tropical greenhouse in Volunteer Park: http://www.seattle.gov/Parks/parkspaces/volunteerpark/conservatory.htm

The downtown library. Craziest library architecture I've ever experienced. Oh and it's full of books, all sorts of books to randomly explore :)
