  0 0 Drink lots and lots of water. If you have kidney stones this will help flush them out, and if you don't have kidney stones it certainly won't make anything you do have any worse. If your kidney stones are small enough to pass without intervention the doctor will just give you a strainer to pee through and some pain medication - and tell you to drink lots of water. I've had good luck with acupuncture for kidney pain, so you may want to check that out as well. I DON'T HAVE kidney stones...nor the other conditions that she misinformed me about. However, I'm not convinced that the diagnoisis is correct yet. But someday, I may need my gallbladder to be removed, and I'm not fearful... it's a minor operation as an outpatient these days.
