I hike with my two miniature Dachshunds. I don't know what kind of dog you have but here are a couple of our favories, especially in winter: Rattlesnake Ledge, Little Si and Twin Falls out by North Bend on I-90; Wallace Falls in Gold Bar along Highway 2. You can check out our blog at http://www.YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner.com for other ideas and suggestions.

http://www.wta.org/ is a good resource for finding trails. The trail descriptions include distance and elevation gain and often trip reports.

FWIW, I started doing a lot of hiking last summer and saw folks with all sizes of dogs on pretty much every trail I hiked. Deception Creek comes immediately to mind as a trail that might be good - nice rolling(not rocky)terrain, ~10 miles round trip, up highway 2, minimal elevation gain. 10 miles might be too long, but you can just turn around.

Two things, though, some trails prohibit dogs and all trails require that dogs be leashed.
