What is the best brand of boxed pasta?I am sure making or using fresh pasta would be great step above boxed dried pasta, but it is a staple available in my own kitchen and finds its way into many things we eat at home. On some occasions I cook up just a small handful of rigatoni noodles as a treat for my parrots. They prefer it with a little basil tomato sauce and you can see how each has a preferred foot for holding their food, on the next day one foot will be stained a little brown from the sauce. I asked an Italian friend and he said he preferred Barilla to all others and so I have been using that. Often Fred Meyer has the various types in one pound boxes on sale for a dollar each. Do you have another preferred brand to recommend? |
