I like Smitten Kitchen. I use her recipes all the time, especially desserts (but that's mostly because I prefer making dessert to anything else). It's very well written and she takes great photographs.

Bake it in a Cake! Because it is so cute and it seems delicious!

I don't really read food blogs otherwise.

My two favorites are Homesick Texan and Coconut and Lime.
HT because, well, I can't get any tex-mex here in Washington and her stories that accompany the recipes are well written and interesting.
I fell across Coconut and Lime a few years ago and use it all the time. Her recipes are usually classics with a twist and uses ingredients that generally take advantage of what's in season. Here are some links:

My all time fave is David Lebovitz. He's the "Living the Sweet Life in Paris" guy and his recipes are always accompanied by little stories about when/why he made them.

For anything Chinese, Steamy Kitchen is the way to go. Good pictures, clear instructions, delicious results.

I also Simply Recipes, whole, nutritious foods, great use of seasonal fruits and veggies, and she links to other fun food blogs like Vanilla Garlic.

I really like Simply Recipes because it has a lot of easy week night recipes, the photos are pretty, and there's a well-organized archive:

I also love Last Night's Dinner, mostly because it's written by a fellow Rhode Islander and has some great pasta recipes:

    TasteSpotting, a community-driven visual potluck.

Hundreds of beautiful pictures, each leading to someone's food blog somewhere in the world.

Be inspired, be dazzled, be prepared to spend a couple of pleasurable foodie hours, and discover great new food blogs along the way.
