When it comes to buying suits, what affords you better savings?

I don't have the wherewithal to look into getting a new suit too closely, so I would often fall on chain/department stores for suit shopping, is this cost effective/economical when you look at what you can get, quality wise? I tend to like to be on the cutting edge when it comes to suits. I'm just looking to save money on my next suit purchase.

If you want to be fashionable and save money, shop the big sales at places like marios or the Hugo boss store (or even Brooks Bros)

Hugo Boss makes a great suit for the money (when at least 25% off)but the Hugo Boss at nordstoms is nothing like what they have at their own stores or Marios or Saks in Portland.

I stopped buying suits at Nordstroms after taking several back for repairs due to poor workmanship.

I'd go to Nordstrom Rack...you can get high end suits without paying too much.

I'm not sure about Men's Warehouse but they maybe worth looking at.

Whatever suit you purchase may be improved about 100% by having it tailored to fit you. This does add some expense to the suit purchase, but having a tailor adjust an off-the-rack suit to fit you better can often take a good-looking suit, and make it into a great suit.
