Massage licensing exam - LMPs - what is your opinion

I'm about to finish massage school and am torn between which licensing exam to take - NCETMB, NCETM or mBlex? Are the "N" tests anything more than credentials to add to your business card/website/resume? Is it simply a heightened status within the massage & body work community? Does it matter to potential employers within the field or to the public?

I think it is a bit curious that your education program doesn't adequately address the whole issue of licensing and credentials. This should be a significant part of learning to function as a professional in your chosen field of practice.

Remember, your professional credentials speak to both your potential employers as well as to the consumers that may seek you out for treatment. in general, I would say obtain any that you are eligible for. If you wish to pare them down later than you can make that decision. However, sitting for exams or obtaining them as you finish your training may be easier than later going back for them after you have been out of school for a while.
