karaoke recommendations?

A group of friends wants to have a karaoke night some place in Seattle. We tried the karaoke room rental downtown, but found it too expensive.

SO, what's the best karaoke? Our one other request is that it's not too popular (we want our group to be able to sing as much as we'd like. Pigs, I know, but hey, it's Karaoke!)

seattle's best karaoke came up in conversation just last night. i can't vouch directly, but it seems to have pretty decent prices for private rooms:

plus, they publish their song catalog online:

I rented my karaoke machine from a party rental store for $20, and bought karaoke cds at Target or it may have been the dreadful Walmart

Dante's in the U-District does karaoke Monday and sometimes Wednesday, and unless some big group comes in for a birthday party or something there's usually plenty of room for new singers.
